CBA Names Its First Indigenous President

The Canadian Bar Association has announced that Brad Regehr of Winnipeg begins his year-long tenure as CBA President today, September 1st. A member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation in Saskatchewan, he is the first Indigenous person to hold the position. He takes over from Vivene Salmon, who was the first Black lawyer to serve as CBA President.
