Lawsuit against Led Zeppelin Comes to an End

One of music’s longest-running lawsuits is finally over. The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear the appeal over a copyright battle over Led Zeppelin’s song “Stairway to Heaven.” The band were successful at the appellate level in 2016 over a challenge led by a trustee representing “Taurus,” a 1968 song by the band Spirit. And so this saga, which began in 2014, now ends in Led Zeppelin’s favour.
